Churn
Churn
Ideal for the efficient manufacture of butter
The churn enables the manufacture of butter. It can be horizontal or vertical:
- Horizontal churning enables small quantities of less than 100L to be made with a simple and economical system. Manufacturing volumes greater than 300L is possible using gravity to empty the butter churn.
- Vertical churns are particularly suitable for volumes of 100 to 300 litres. The cream is always in contact with the stirrer making the mixing more efficient. Vertical churns are ideal for quality traditional butters or individual recipes.
The capacity indicated corresponds to the churn's maximum capacity of cream which is approximately half the total volume, depending on the model.
- Horizontal churn:
AVEDEMIL offers machines of 13, 25, 50 and 100 L equipped with an electronically-controlled variable-speed stirrer. The 50 and 100L churns can be fitted onto a tilting frame facilitating emptying by partially rotating the churn. A locking handle retains the churn in position.
- Vertical churn:
These are equipped with valves to control the washing water and to drain the buttermilk.
The stirrer reaches the bottom of the tank and is in permanent contact with the cream. This gives a greater flexibility of working volume. With controllable speed and direction and a control indicator, the churn is easy to use.
A tilting system operated by an electric actuator facilitates emptying or working at different levels.
The electrical power varies depending upon the model chosen.
