Salting equipment for cheese
The salting equipment includes:
- a 400L container with lid
- 14 shelf grids
- base legs
- set of side frames
- a lifting bar
The equipment facilitates consistent salting of cheeses in a reduced time. By placing the cheeses on shelf grids, they are all immersed in the brine at the same time. The cheeses are held in the brine for a short time in order to stabilise the cheese and to ensure consistent salting.
Similarly, the dimensions of the shelf grids are adapted to ensure a good circulation of the brine around the cheeses. This saves time and improves product quality.
The 400L container is:
- designed in HDPE, it is highly shock resistant and reinforced by a stainless steel bar.
- transportable by pallet truck or tolley
- the cover facilitates stacking for easy and convenient storage of empty or full plastic containers.
The shelf grids are reinforced and made of stainless steel. The base legs are made of stainless steel and support for the shelf grids and side frames. The side frames surround the shelf grids, holding the whole assembly while containing the cheeses.
A lifting bar for a hoist is fixed on the top of the assembly.
