Single-sided salting machine.
The single-sided salting machine allows cheese to be salted on a grid-shelf in two passes under a curtain of salt.
The hopper is heated, which keeps the salt at a consistent temperature ensuring a homogeneous salting of the product.
Because of the mechanised operation, cheeses are handled less than they would be for manual salting then reducing the production time.
It is suitable for small and medium production lines.
The average flow rate is 200 to 400 grid shelves (or standard salting grills) per hour. However, this output depends on the type of cheese and the feed rate to the machine.
Two variable speed drives control the conveyor speed and the flow-rate of salt.
The salt machine's inclined conveyor adapts to different cheese sizes.
The salting machine is mounted on castoring wheels and is provided with two plastic salt-overflow bins.
